EV & Hybrid Repair in Hillsboro, KS
The short answer
Moxie repairs electric and hybrid vehicles right here in Hillsboro, from a simple warning light to the high-voltage battery, so you do not lose a day driving to a distant dealer.
Picture a frosty January morning with a school run to make: the car showed a full charge last night, and now the dash will not even wake up. More often than not that is the small 12-volt battery, one of the cheapest fixes an EV ever needs. Fewer moving parts does not mean no parts, and brakes, tires, air conditioning and electronics all still need looking after. Bring it in, or we will come and get it.

Text us which onesWhat EV and hybrid repair at Moxie actually looks like
We start with a full diagnosis, not a hunch. Electric and hybrid vehicles run on computers even more than gas ones do, so we read every module and look at live data before we recommend any repair.
We work on the whole vehicle. That covers the high-voltage battery and its cooling, the charging system and the 12-volt battery that powers the car's computers. It also covers the everyday parts every vehicle has, like brakes, tires, suspension, steering and air conditioning. We work on every make, including Tesla, Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Toyota and Honda.
We treat high voltage with the respect it deserves. Those systems get the safety procedures they require, every time, whoever is working on the car.
Then we tell you straight what we found and what it will cost. Nothing starts until you have seen the price and said yes.

EV and hybrid repair questions we hear every week
Do electric cars need maintenance at all?
Electric cars need less maintenance than gas cars, but they still need some. There is no oil to change, yet the brakes, tires, suspension, air conditioning, battery coolant and the small 12-volt battery all need checking. EV tires also tend to wear faster because of the vehicle's weight, so regular rotation pays off.
My EV will not turn on but the main battery is charged. What is wrong?
Very often it is the small 12-volt battery, which powers the computers that switch the car on. It is one of the most common reasons an EV will not power up, and luckily one of the cheapest to fix. Call or text the shop and we will talk you through it, or come and collect the car if it will not budge.
Do I have to take my hybrid or EV to a dealer?
You do not have to, and plenty of our customers are glad to skip the drive. Having it repaired at an independent shop does not void your warranty as long as the work is done properly, and we can handle it here in Hillsboro. If something is covered by a manufacturer recall or warranty claim, we will tell you so you can use it.
