Windshield Replacement in Hillsboro, KS
The short answer
If the crack is longer than a dollar bill, sits right in your line of sight or runs in from the edge of the glass, your windshield usually needs replacing rather than repairing.
You know how it goes: a stone off a gravel road near Peabody leaves a chip you mean to get fixed, and one cold morning it has run halfway across the glass. A damaged windshield is a real safety problem, not just an eyesore, and we can usually have a new one in and you back on the road the same day. Bring it in, or we will come and get it.
Call or text (620) 416-0008. Describe the noise. We'll do the rest.
We answer texts the same day we get them.

Your windshield has a camera. After a new windshield, it must be recalibrated so lane-keep and auto braking aim correctly. We do ADAS calibration right here.

Text us which onesWhat a windshield replacement at Moxie actually looks like
We start by checking whether you actually need new glass. A small chip away from your line of sight is often cheaper and quicker to repair, and we will tell you if that is the better option rather than sell you a windshield you do not need.
We prepare the frame like it matters, because it does. We cut the old windshield out, clean the frame back to bare metal where the adhesive bonds, and set the new glass in fresh urethane. That bond is part of your vehicle's safety structure, so the preparation matters as much as the glass.
We do not hand the keys back early. The adhesive needs time to cure before the vehicle is safe to drive, and we tell you exactly how long for the product we used.
We recalibrate the camera in the same visit. If your vehicle has a camera on the windshield for lane keeping or automatic braking, it has to be reset afterwards or those systems can read the road wrong. We handle that here, so it is one appointment and one place.

Windshield replacement questions we hear every week
How long does a windshield replacement take?
Fitting the glass usually takes a couple of hours. After that the adhesive needs time to cure before the vehicle is safe to drive, and we tell you the exact time for the product we used. If your vehicle needs its camera recalibrated, allow a little extra for that on the same visit. Our drive-away time page explains the wait and how to look after new glass.
Will my insurance cover it?
Comprehensive policies often include glass coverage, but deductibles and terms vary a lot between insurers. The quickest way to find out is to call or text the shop with your policy details. We will tell you what we can do, how the claim works and what it is likely to cost you before any work starts.
Do I really need the camera recalibrated?
You do if your vehicle has a camera on the windshield for lane keeping, adaptive cruise or automatic braking. Moving the glass moves the camera, and a camera that is even slightly off can misjudge where the road is. We recalibrate it here before the vehicle leaves, so you do not need a separate trip to a dealership.
