What ATV and dirt bike repair at Moxie actually looks like

  1. We find the fault before we replace anything. On an older machine that means checking fuel, air and spark, the three things every engine needs to run. On newer machines with fuel injection, we read the stored fault codes as well.

  2. We check the parts that mud and dust wear out first. That means the air filter, brakes, chain, sprockets and wheel bearings, because catching them early costs less than fixing what they damage once they fail.

  3. We tell you straight what it needs, what it costs and what can safely wait. You approve the work and the price before anything is done, and nothing gets added along the way.

ATV and dirt bike repair questions we hear every week

Why won't my four-wheeler start after sitting all winter?

The usual cause is stale fuel. Gasoline left sitting for months can turn gummy and block the tiny passages in a carburetor, so the engine gets too little fuel to run. A battery that went flat in storage is the other common reason. We check both, clean the fuel system if it needs it and get the machine running again.

Why does my ATV bog down when I give it throttle?

Bogging usually means the engine is not getting the right mix of fuel and air. A clogged air filter, a dirty carburetor or a tired spark plug are the most common causes, especially after a muddy or dusty ride. We test fuel, air and spark in turn, so we fix the real cause instead of guessing. Text us what it is doing if you want a first opinion.

How much does ATV or dirt bike repair cost?

The cost depends on the machine and what is wrong with it. Cleaning a carburetor after storage is a much smaller job than an engine rebuild, for example. We diagnose it first and give you a price before any work starts, so you decide with the real number in hand rather than a guess.
